Sharing is Caring

A good friend and co-worker of mine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  So, being the old pro that I am at kicking cancer’s butt, I’ve been sharing my experiences and knowledge with her so she can kick some cancer-butt too.  While I was looking online for some additional resources for my friend, I came across some awesome sites that I wanted to make sure everybody knew about.  These sites have wonderful information on everything from financial assistance to eyebrow tattoos.  Check them out and pass them along!

Peace, love and good health to us all!

Cancer Hope Network is a non-profit organization that provides free and confidential one-on-one support to cancer patients and their families. As our core offering, we match cancer patients or family members with trained volunteers who have themselves undergone and recovered from a similar cancer experience.

For patients, professionals and volunteers we offer a secure, confidential environment where people who are affected by cancer can exchange experiences and share thoughts.

In short, we strive to make a difference in their fight against cancer using every means possible. We rely heavily on people like yourself to help spread the word and make our community relevant.

If you are a patient or family member of a patient, we encourage you to register in our community. If you would like to be matched with a Support Volunteer, call 800-552-4366 or submit your match request online

Welcome to Women Beyond Cancer. We are a 501c3 corporation offering retreats for women dealing with ANY type of cancer.  Whether you have been recently diagnosed, or a few years out of treatment, we invite you to join us for a few days respite while dealing with the physical as well as emotional impact of cancer.
Women Beyond Cancer retreats are based on one premise; the fact that you could use a break. Therefore, we have no schedules or agendas at our retreats. What you chose to do at a retreat is up to you. You will leave our retreats pampered, cared for and re-energized. For many, experiencing a Women Beyond Cancer retreat has been life-changing.
We recognize that although family and friends want nothing more than for you to heal, sometimes you just need to get away from everything and everyone and simply take time for YOU.   Each WBC retreat is designed to be unique in its location, activities, and staff. All WBC retreats will consistently provide every guest with quality services and individualized attention. Most of our retreats are free of charge.

The National Lymphedema Network

The National Lymphedema Network (NLN) is an internationally recognized non-profit organization founded in 1988 to provide education and guidance to lymphedema patients, health care professionals and the general public by disseminating information on management of primary/secondary lymphedema and related disorders, and education in risk reduction practices for all individuals at risk for or affected by lymphedema.

The NLN is supported by tax-deductible donations and is a driving force behind the movement in the U.S. to standardize quality treatment for lymphedema patients nationwide. In addition, the NLN supports research into the causes and possible alternative treatments for this often incapacitating, long-neglected condition.

The Life Beyond Cancer Foundation is a tax-exempt organization with an IRS section 501(c)(3) tax status. Through our Providers for Survivors Network we are dedicated to easing the physical, spiritual, emotional and financial hardships of living with, and beyond, cancer. We offer programs, retreats, patient assistance, fundraising and best-practice tools to our oncology professionals to complement their medical management. The providers can then help pave a path to healthy survivorship to patients in their community.

For the past 12 years, Life Beyond Cancer has offered a three-day retreat for 150 female survivors and oncology professionals from our Survivors for Providers Network, so they can attend workshops and learn how to improve their life beyond cancer. The group is a diverse and dynamic group of cancer survivors and providers, selected through an application and review process
