My “new shoes”

Here’s another classic moment brought to you courtesy of chemo brain:

Last week, Zetti was going somewhere and said she wished she had a pair of nice brown sandals to wear. I went into our closet and quickly found a cute pair of her sandals. How could she have overlooked them, I wondered?  Proud of myself, I brought them to her. To which she replied, “I don’t want to stretch out your shoes” – well,I figured she was just messing with me.  After going back and forth a few times, she finally said, “Those are your shoes! If you don’t believe me, try them on.” Which I did – and they fit. I was so excited to have found such a cute “new” pair of shoes and also really disappointed that I had forgotten to wear them for the past year and a half.

UPDATE:  Today was casual Friday at work and I was going to wear my “new shoes” – but I have already forgotten where I put them  😦

I still have chemo brain sometimes, and it’s been almost five years now. It’s crazy and frightening sometimes, but usually humorous too. 🙂

I know what you mean! I put my daughter’s dinner in the microwave last night and forgot it. Poor thing had to come remind me 🙂
